Hi, anything that uses power line technology is killing shortwave radio around the UK! not sure about this product but I guess it also uses HF. Ofcom are looking for new powers to outlaw this stuff so buyer beware!
Check UKQRM for more.

As wickedweekend asked previously, does the computer/laptop need to be on all the time?

Wouldn't want to be leaving it on all day.

yes you would have to have your comp on all the time. You should just get a stand alone unit which is designed specifically to be used for continuous use. the problem with having your security system linked to your PC is that your using online as well. youll need to enable active X which leads to many virus's. i feel bad for the retail market, because they get sucked into stuff that not that good.

I see! You mean that the PC based security system captures the perpetrator on one of the 6 cameras and when they break into your business or home, they take the computer with them. By the way is one of the most stolen pieces of equipment taken in a burglary. Makes sense to me. Duhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Can we live stream and store on another pc outside of the home? If we can, we could stream and store at a friends house and they could store at ours or we could store online. That would solve the problem of the thief stealing the storage unit.
Also, is it infer red and do you have color cams available.
